Do you ever get in 'reading mode' and want to do nothing but read? I'm in the middle of a huge reading bender right now. All I can think about is reading! I am currently seven reviews behind because I can't stop reading long enough to write a book review.
Two weeks ago, I read Richelle Mead's Bloodlines, and it was so good, it started me on this reading frenzy. I know people who, after reading a great book, stop reading for a while to really savor and remember the book they just finished. But, I am the opposite. When I read a great book, it gets me wanting to read, read, read. I speed through books, wanting to recapture the feeling of a really great read. I've read some great books since Bloodlines: Wither, The Merchant's Daughter, and The Scorpio Races, to name a few. I can't stop and I don't want to...
Does reading a great book just make you hungry for more? What was the last book that sent you into reading mode?
What a delicious predicament. That does happen to me but the subsequent books must be good or I feel disappointed. Like nothing can live up to the realllly good one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! :)
I have the same problem as Juju. Sometimes when I finish an exceptionally great book, I dread starting another one! How in the world can it live up to what I've just read and loved? :o)
ReplyDeleteI have been known to go on a reading tear a couple of times, usually reading a book a day for a whole week, but that's the max! Usually something else suffers because of those reading binges...but it's so worth it in the end. :o)
