In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren. I love visiting my blogging friends' mailboxes and finding new books to read!
For Review:
Plus by Veronica Chambers (from YA Addict ARC tours)
Kelly's Chance by Wanda E. Brunstetter (Net Galley)
The Last Full Measure by Ann Rinaldi (Net Galley)
Gift:
Private by James Patterson (thank you Mom for passing this book on to me!)
Library:
Witch and Wizard by James Patterson (thank you to Emma Michaels for the recommendation)
Thank You Note:
From Olivia Byrd Cooley, who wrote Miss Hildreth Wore Brown. She sent me the nicest thank you note, written in brown ink on pink and brown stationary (which coordinates with her book cover!). It is the second thank-you note I've received from an author, which is very exciting. I showed it to my mom and she said, "That's what good Southern manners are all about!"
What's in your mailbox this week?
Yay you got awesome books hun!! and i know lovely isnt it i got one recently and it made me smile, it really shows the effort and the kindness of an author :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant books, and that letter is so sweet. It's quite an honour and very validating to know they see and read what we write, eh? I'm interested to see what you think of Witch & Wizard...to be totally blunt, I truly disliked it haha and that's rare for me. Very, very rare.
ReplyDeleteI am really interested in reading Plus. I think it sounds really intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI love James Patterson but I haven't read either of those ones! Happy reading :)
ReplyDeletePlus looks like a really fun read, and I've heard lots of good things about Witch and Wizard! Hope you enjoy them all! :)
ReplyDeleteNice books, Plus looks like a good read. Hope you enjoy all your books this week.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your blog. It's so cute! I'm not a James Patterson fan. Plus and Everything Hurts looks really good. Enjoy your new reads.
ReplyDeleteSome great books, and isn't it so nice when authors are appreciative! I always am so thankful to recieve books for review but then get an extra buzz when the author is so nice about it. Thanks for stopping by my blog - I'd rather be reading all the time too :-)
ReplyDeleteI need to get back into Ann Rinaldi. When I was in high school, I read all her books.
ReplyDeleteAlison Can Read
Loved the cover for Everything Hurts... that's what I look like since coming back from holidays. Ouch ouch ouch... no more dancing till the wee hours for fundraisers... Can't do the thang dance at my age so next time... will be the one clapping for others on the side.
ReplyDeleteGreat loot and can't wait to read the reviews.
