Review:
I started Evernight expecting something along the lines of Marked or Fallen. And for the first half of the book, it kind of was: new kids at boarding school, meeting a new love interest, falling in love, trying to figure out what the "evil" feeling of the school is all about...
And then about halfway through the book Claudia Gray drops a bomb on the reader and it was great! I had to go back and read certain paragraphs twice, I was so surprised! The plot twist was totally unexpected, and the way Gray handles it was funny, even. I loved that about this book. I'm looking forward to continuing on with this series.

i liked this book too. but when i read Hourglass (the most recent) book, i was really not happy by the end of it. it bugged me. just warning you now if you get into this series.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you. If there wasn't that big twist and mid-way through the novel then I probably wouldn't have kept reading. But OMG once the paranormal piece of this book kicked in things got really interesting. I've read Stargazer and I just got Hourglass to read this week.
