Blog Hop (8/6/10)

It's Blog Hop time again!  Head over to Crazy For Books if you want to join the hop!

This week's Blog Hop question is:
Do you listen to music when you read?  If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?

The only time I listen to music while reading is when I'm reading at the gym (on a cardio machine).  The gym's music is really annoying, so I wear my headphones and listen to my Christian music favorites (mostly Chris Tomlin and Hillsong), while reading on my Nook.  The rest of the time, I prefer silence!

    I think I was too busy last week to play bloghopping. Just stopping by to say hi. Did you change your button though? It looks different. I could be confusing it with a different blog I suppose.

    This is gonna sound silly, but I never even though to take my kindle with me to the gym. I always take my mp3 player, but maybe I'll be able to take the kindle instead, reading is so much better.

    @Melanie I did change the button when I was giving the blog a facelift ;) Thanks for noticing. The old button still works too.

    I like it quite when I read, probably because I read so late at night.

    Oo yeah, you have a point about the gym. I don't usually listen to music while I'm reading, but I'm at the gym my music is a lot less distracting than the TV/people/etc. Yay Team Nook! ;-)

    About The Passage: I like dytopias so I'm willing to wade through the downers bits and wait for things to get interesting. But I agree that the opening was not exactly uplifting (I quite Cutting for Stone for this reason). I think alot of media - movies, tv, books and plays - like to open with a "shocker" seen that they think will hook people. Unfortunately, such scenes can have the opposite effect, too.

    Great blog title! That is how I feel most of the time. I don't listen to music while reading, but I do "watch" television. Probably because I am somewhat of a TV addict :)
